DCHS Annual Banquet
The Delta County Historical Society wil host its annual banquet at the Terrace Bay Inn Dining Room on April 30th, 2008 at 6pm. This years dinner will feature a presentation on the life and works of author John D. Voelker. Frederick Baker Jr., Secretary/Treasurer of the John D. Voelker Foundation Board will present this program. John D. Voelker is best known for his novel Anatomy of a Murder, written under the moniker Robert Traver. Originally from Ishpeming, Michigan Mr. Voelker was also a well known lawyer, public figure and Michigan Supreme Court Justice. We invite you to celebrate and honor the rememberance of this important figure in our history. Cost to attend is $20 per person and reservations must be made in advance. Money is payable at the door.
